You will usually be hiding behind a console or some other thing in the level, and enemy stickmen are going to come at you from different directions, with you having to click in their direction to shoot them down.
When you are not clicking in order to shoot, the agent goes back in defense mode as he hides behind his cover. Be careful not to get shot yourself too many times in a row, since that means you will eventually lose and have to start the game again from scratch.
As you progress and keep shooting targets, you can use the money you earn to upgrade the guns and awesome gear that the agent uses, so that you can defeat even bigger threats.
