Can you survive the ruse of the Cuphead Ooze?

Move Cuphead using the A, D keys, use the S key to jump with him. Your goal is to shoot down the Ooze until you completely deplete its health bar and move past it, but it will shoot back with water at you as well, so make sure that you don't get killed instead, you would not want that, right?
