First things first, you need to choose between playing in the story mode and free play mode, and, in either case, give your best towards reaching the end of the songs, something that you can only achieve by hitting notes according to the charts until then.
To do it, press the arrow keys at the same time as the identical arrow symbols match on the top right side of the screen. If instead you miss too many notes in a row, and your health bar depletes, you lose, so make sure not to let that happen. Good luck, enjoy!
