For starters, only four tracks are available, but if you finish them all and complete their stages, you can unlock the other four as well, and finish the whole game, showing your prowess for strategy.
In each round, balloons will move on the path of that map, and along the way, you need to place monkeys and various traps, sometimes monkeys holding weapons so that you blow up all the balloons.
You win the rounds if you manage to stop the wave from reaching the end of the course, but if that happens, you lose the round instead and have to give it another go.
On the top left you see the defensive systems you can place, in exchange for money, with more of it being awarded to you as you keep clearing the levels.
