In each level you move your blue stickman around using the mouse or finger, going about and adding defensive towers along the roads that will shoot at red stickmen automatically, but you should also take a position against them so that you also shoot into them.
As they get killed off, they leave money in return, so make sure you go and grab it, so that you use it to buy even more defensive towers. The waves of enemies only get stronger, so this is very important for you to do. If too many enemies reach the castle and they empty out its health bar, you lose that level and will have to restart it, of course.
