Use WASD to move and space to jump, and if you get a hold of a jetpack, hold space to fly with it. Start going up the platforms, tubes, stairs, or anything else that is solid and is going upwards, because lava will start rising a few seconds in the game, and then it will keep doing so for another given number of seconds.

You have to keep going up to survive it since falling into it or getting caught by it makes you lose. You are racing against all sorts of other players, all reaching for the top, and fearing the lava. Collect coins, and pick up boosters like the magnet, or a shield that makes you impenetrable to the fiery water.
