How to play Pokemon Diamond online:

Choose if you want to be a boy, Lucas, or a girl, Dawn.
Pick your starter Pokemon given by Professor Rowan:
- Turtwig (Grass)
- Chimar (Fire)
- Piplup (Water)
Explore the region of Sinnoh. The game is open-world, so visit as much of it as possible!
Catch Pokemon in the wild to add them to your team, and to complete the Pokedex.
Battle other trainers. Defeat them to gain experience, and climb the rankings.
Defeat Gym Trainers and the enemies from Team Galactic.

Use the arrow keys for movement, and the Z and X keys for selection.

Like in the other RPG games in the series, we recommend talking to as many characters as you can find. They provide hints, give you items, or a chance to battle and improve as a trainer!

How do players fight with Pokemon?

The battles are turn-based. You make a move, and then your opponent makes a move. Use the arrows to navigate the battle menu, and make selections with Z and X.

Make attacks on the opponent to deplete their health bar. Empty it out to win. Protect from their own attacks on you.

How can you become a stronger Pokemon trainer?

The more you battle, and the more you win, the more EXP points you win. Your attacks and moves get stronger. When enough experience is gained from a Pokemon, they can evolve into a new and stronger variant.

How many Pokemon are in the Diamond Version?

The Pokedex can be completed only when you've encountered or caught 107 Pokemon. Explore the lakes, the grass, the mountains, volcanoes, caves, and different environments. Pokemon of a type reside in locations suitable for them. That's where you find them!

How do I catch Pokemon?

Fight them when you encounter them in the wild, as you would fight a trainer. When they are weak enough, throw the Pokeball at them to catch them. Do it as many times as it requires to capture them!
